This is the part that holds the internal rear view mirror in place. These are fixing attachments for the mirror that tend to break.
It is fairly flimsy for safety reasons as it is designed to break in the event of an accident/sudden stop so if your head hits the mirror it will break off and not be held rigidly in place.
Will sort out a wobbly mirror!
