Alexandra Palace, London, United Kingdom
Londons biggest Classic Car Show, since the show was first held in 1988, the
event has become the major curtain raiser for the historic vehicle show season.
The memorable combination of the striking architecture of the Palace with an
outstanding selection of classic vehiclesand display stands, consistently
attracts thousands of visitors year after year. Along with the vital aspects
that traditionally make up The London Classic Motor Show, like the elegant
Concours display, there'll also be more superb Club stands, a dedicated hall for
autojumble, a prestige auction, travel/tours and events area, plus a Practical
Classics Challenge.

Quiller Triumph employees will be on the Triumph Sports Six Club
stand performing a mechanical restoration of a Spitfire over the show weekend in
a race against time. The car will be recovered into the building on Saturday
morning and will drive out on the Sunday evening under its own steam having not
turned a wheel for years (at least that's the plan!). The brakes, steering,
& suspension assemblies will be overhauled and fitted with all new parts. If
we get time we will also demonstrate seat reconditioning and hood fitting. We
will also be racing against the MG car club who will be restoring a Midget next
door, and the competition will be compered by a member of TV's scrapyard
challenge team and Quentin Wilson. Both cars will then be featured in a head to head challenge by
Practical Classics magazine in future issues. Come & check our progress and
pick up a few tips on restoring your Triumph.
